The transceiver offers features including: support for USB 2.0 high-speed (480Mbps) and full-speed (12Mbps); serial-to-parallel and parallel-to-serial conversions; 8bit unidirectional, 8bit bidirectional or 16bit bidirectional external data interface; synchronous field and EOP detection on receive packets, and generation on transmit packets; and data and clock recovery from the USB serial stream.
The MoBL-USB TX2 transceiver (CY7C68000A) is expected to sample in May and ship in production volumes in June 2006. In addition to the 56-ball VFBGA, the device is offered in a 56-lead QFN package. Pricing in 10,000-unit volumes for the MoBL-USB TX2 transceiver starts at Rs.65.93 ($1.49).
